About Academic Reading Scores:
Academic Reading texts are denser and more complex than General Training texts. As a result, the scoring curve is different. For example, getting 30 correct answers in Academic Reading usually gives you a Band 7.0, whereas in General Training, you typically need 34 correct answers for the same band.
